Abstract

If you notice a pigmented, exophytic, asymmetrical, and colorful growth on your skin that continues to enlarge over time, be careful! You could be facing a melanoma, a skin neoplasm that develops in the epidermis, specifically in the cells responsible for producing pigment, the melanocytes. It is a rare neoplasm, but with a high mortality rate. Conducting self-examinations of any suspicious lesions and seeking early diagnosis are crucial steps in ensuring effective treatment
