The microalgae Chlorella sorokiniana has great biotechnological interest due to its content of antioxidants, lipids and vitamins of high nutritional and economic value, which in combination with its rapid development under ideal growth conditions has diversified its use in recent years. Among its main applications is the bioremediation of wastewater, the production of biofuels and it is widely used in the food, agricultural, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries due to the effects it causes on human health. Currently, environmental and nutritional growth conditions are being studied and optimized to promote the production of lipases and amylases from C. sorokiniana for use in biotechnological processes.
