Manipulating genetic material raises questions about life, human identity, and the possibility of non-therapeutic use, and raises concerns about life and human intervention. The lack of comprehensive and up-to-date regulation and the potential for complicated side effects are major concerns. Careful consideration of the ethical implications is essential to ensure responsible use of this technology. Healthcare professionals must remain committed to fundamental ethical values to ensure the ethical use in clinical settings. The aim of this article is therefore to examine gene therapy as a field in medicine for treating genetic disorders, while highlighting the ethical challenges associated with its use.
