Intimate partner violence: a priority mental health problem

Abstract

Partner violence currently represents a priority public and mental health problem, with the purpose of identifying the various forms of violence in the Mexican couple, for which a descriptive and transversal study, qualitativequantitative, was carried out through a Google form survey of 217 people, data processed and analyzed in Excel. 78.9% were female, with an average age of 25 years, where although the older respondents deny violence in the couple, there is a percentage of around30% in which violent attitudes have existed in their relationships. various forms, with psychologicalemotional being the most predominant in those surveyed, which coincides with the national average data provided by INDREH, 2021. It is essential to create awareness programs about healthy relationships and the impact of violence couple in mental health.
